BIEN ALIGTAD Dong de los Reyes
DIRECTED BY: Roxy Liquigan & Dweni Tanchangco

BIEN ALIGTAD revolves around the life of a flesh and blood criminal. It is based on the life story of Benjamin Garcia a.k.a. “Ben Tumbling” The play does not attempt to moralize or rationalize. It aims to give the audience a sensory experience. It portrays human actions. The ultimate goal is to convey intuition about a higher truth that cannot be adequately expressed in words and can only be suggested through symbols. It denounces the in-depth explanation of these symbols found in the play. There is an attempt to avoid dealing with social problems or to recreate the physical environment of its characters. It suggests a universal truth independent of time and place. However, truth in this play is not logically defined or rationally expressed making it vague, ambiguous and mysterious.
