“My first major role was really in the Twinbill play (year 2009) of Teatro entitled "Kabugan". Isa ako sa mga alternates ng role ng "Lalaki", bale lead role din po siya wala nga lang pong specific name yung role sa script. Pero yung role ko sa Huling Pahina bilang Kapitan Tiyago ang pinaka memorable sa akin dahil from being one of the choros noon I was asked by Sir Chi De Jesus (Director) if I want to play the role of Kapitan Tiyago and I said yes. But I think it was 3 weeks before the Playdates na. So talagang humabol ako sa mga blocking and pagmemorize ng mga lines ni Kapitan Tiyago.
By the way, we were just 4 actors for this specific role. Sobrang I challenged myself na even though late na akong nasabihan for this role I want to prove to everyone especially Sir Chi that I can catch up and I can make it. I will not waste this opportunity and Thank God i made it.”

"I also watched the movie Jose Rizal of Mr. Cesar Montano in able to copy the way he speaks...formation of his mouth / lips in delivering his lines"
“Playing the role of Jose Rizal in the story of "Ang Mga Filibustero" was not easy for me because as i remember our Director Mr. Carlos Buendia wanted me to break some usual image/ typical impression ng mga tao kay Jose Rizal base sa mga napapanood nating kilos or pananalita niya sa mga pelikulang tungkol sa buhay niya. Kailangan daw makita sa play yung makwela, makulit o bibo na Jose Rizal especially sa mga eksena na kailangan talagang maging ganun si Rizal. Medyo naging mahirap ito para sa akin dahil hindi maiiwasan na pumanget yung itsura ko sa mga eksenang kailangan maging makwela or makulit si Rizal. Honestly ayaw ko talagang maging pangit or pumangit sa stage kasi for me panget na nga ako sa personal magpapa-pangit pa ako sa stage. Hahaha. Suicide yun diba?! Pero buti na lang sa Awa ng Diyos naalala ko yung mga sinabi sa akin ng mga previous Director ko na sina Mr. John Paul Gonzales and Sir Chi De Jesus na huwag daw akong matakot na pumanget sa stage kasi the more na nagpapapogi sa stage the more daw na pumapanget ka.
So in able to give what our director's directives/directions for my role as Dr. Jose Rizal I applied once again those advice and prayed to God to help me to execute it very well. I also watched the movie "Jose Rizal" of Mr. Cesar Montano in able to copy the way he speaks (formation of his mouth/lips in delivering his lines). With regards of emotions sa mga heavy scenes, talagang inilalagay ko yung sarili ko sa sitwasyon ni Dr. Rizal noong mga panahon na hinuli ang kanyang ina at iba pang kalungkutan sa buhay niya”

"Nabigyan din ako ng pagkakataon sa Awa ng Diyos na umarte as lead role sa showcase of talents ng batch namin bilang "Pitong" sa story entitled "Basurahan" by Nonilon Quijano kung saan natanggap ko po yung Best Actor award. That was the first and last time that I received an award for Best Actor."
